Staffing issues are common with larger businesses that is expanding their team. Generally, in bigger firms, the human resource department is a complete entity by itself which takes care of all the staffing activities.

Needless to say this is an added and a costly affair for the business. There are a lot of foreseen and unforeseen expenses related to hiring new team members. The hiring process can be time consuming and generally includes reviewing CV's and conducting interviews.

Unfortunately, bringing staff on (or letting them go) has a number of additional costs associated with it. Hiring staff means you need to conduct interviews, and you need to read resumes, and take people off of their duties to evaluate candidates.

It can be de-motivating when an existing member of staff leave after time and money has been invested in training the employee to succeed in the role.

These situations can be avoided when considering outsourcing temporary employees through a temping agency.

Advantages of temporary staffing agency:

There are other benefits to outsourcing these tasks as well:

2. Extended probation: Hiring a temporary worker will allow you to take time to asses their work for an agreed period, prior to making a final decision on permanent employment

2) One the Job Evaluation. Many employers love 'temp to hire' options, where their temporary workers first prove that they can do the work, and then their contract shifts over to direct employment later. This dramatically reduces the costs of making mistakes and hiring new employees who don't work out.

5. Benefits reduction: Temporary staff generally doesn't expect to receive any additional benefits like bonuses and private health insurance that you would offer with a full time contract

5. Flexibility: Hiring a temporary employee allows you to be prepared for when the work load increases. With staffing agencies, you can use additional people when the work load is high and in case of low work load the staffing agency can reassign them to other jobs.

6. Benefit reductions: Temps don't need additional bonuses and health benefits which normally forms part of a permanent employment contract.

8. Temporary Staff Cover: Ideal to fill a role temporary when an existing employee takes extended or unexpected leave
