When a new Honda accord is bought, there will be a pre installed stereo system present in the vehicle's dashboard. In many cases it would be very essential to remove the stereo from its place. For example if one needs to add any new components then the first thing to be done is to remove the stereo unit so as so access the rear speaker wires. There is no need for a professional to remove a stereo if one has a bit of experience and a few tips then anyone can do it. But how to remove a stereo in a Honda accord? The things required for this process are screwdriver, preferably manufactured by the Philips, screwdriver which is flat-head, tool to clear away trim panel. You need to be careful when you do the work. It is not a very tough one to proceed with, still will be quite new for whose who lack knowledge about it. The following lines will discuss the various steps involved. The first and foremost thing to do before touching anything is to remove the battery. That is remove the negative terminal of the battery. The cable cramp is loosening with the help if a Philips screw driver. Now the next thing to do is to remove the clock from the car. For this purpose a flat head screw driver can be used. This is because only this screw driver can fit in the small spacing in between the edge of the clock and the panel. The housing of the clock is pulled carefully using your hand and the power cable which is present on the back side of the car's center clock is unplugged. The clock is placed away for this moment. The rear side of the car's dash opening will have screws which are removed using the screw driver (Phillips). The bottom side of the car's dash panel will have two screws. Both are removed by the same screw driver. The panel that is present around the car's stereo is pulled carefully by your hand. The wiring to the weather controllers is removed. After you remove it, the panel is removed easily and it is placed away. You will find four screws on the edges of the radio set. These screws are removed using appropriate screw driver. Use your both hands to pull the radio set out by giving equal forces on two sides. The radio set is pulled such a way that the back side of the radio is visible. Disconnect all the wires. In this step the screws surrounding the stereo should be removed with help of a Philips screw driver. Once it is done, the stereo is pulled out slowly from the dash until the wires in the back side are accessible. Now one can remove the wires coming from the antenna, power supply and the wires going to the speakers. So the stereo unit can be removed.
